John E. Malchow, Esq.

John E. Malchow, Esq.

John is an alumnus of Rutgers University and Penn State Law, where he was elected president of the Student Bar Association and valedictorian of his class.

Upon graduation, John served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Arthur L. Zulick in the 43rd Judicial District of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas and thereafter to the Honorable Robert A. Ballard in the Family Part of the Superior Court in Somerset County.

For the past ten years, John has worked with schools, governments, and nonprofits that strengthen the communities they serve, and he assesses each case with both a planner’s vision and a scholar’s attention to detail.

A lifelong resident of Somerset County, John has been an active member of the community since an early age. John attended Watchung Hills, where he played on the football team and sang in the school chorus. While a student at Rutgers, John volunteered with the Watchung Rescue Squad and was elected to the Watchung Board of Education in 2012, the youngest member ever to serve on the Board.

John earned a master’s degree from Rutgers Graduate School of Education and as a student at Penn State, planned and implemented a legal research course at the local jail. John also served on the Commission for LGBTQ Equity and the board of directors of the Centre County Women’s Resource Center.

John is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey.
